When using a laptop, you don’t want to turn it off every time you walk away from it for an extended period of time. You also don’t want to have to wait for it to reboot when you are ready to use it. All you have to do is put it in Hibernation.
Click on “Start,” then click on “Turn Off Computer.” In the next window, click on “Hibernate.”
To start your laptop again, just press the power button. Your files and desktop will look exactly how you left it.

I have been using Windows Live for a long time and I highly recommend it.
